Wanting to take a trip to South America? Maybe some of these tips and suggestions can give you some ideas.

The best spots for the South American summer are going to be:

Buenos Aires, Argentina

-The food is AMAZING there (since they are well-known for their steaks and parrilladas).

-Tango lover? They have a rich culture, and often put on Tango shows either downtown or more exclusively (and a bit more expensively) in a theater. Some restaurants even offer free Tango lessons!

-Sports fan?  Check out the Soccer Hall of Fame at the Boca Stadium. Famous for Maradona and FIFA's No.1 soccer player in the world - Lionel Messi.

-The city's architecture is beautiful, resulting in a pre-hispanic mix with a more modern touch (especially in the Puerto Madero location)

-People are, for the most part, friendly, and you're able to easily travel throughout the city whether it be by bus, taxi or however you choose.

Bogota, Colombia

-Lovely places in Colombia, despite what many people think, it's not really a "drug-lord infested" country. The United States is higher ranked in that department, more so than Colombia.

-Spectacular beaches, specifically at the Tayrona National Park. If you're a nature lover, then this is your paradise. Free of tourist-developed areas from its national park status, trees coming right down the mountainsides and up into the sand, massive rock formations dotted along the beach coast.

-No hotel? Set up an open-air hammock and relax while watching the beautiful night scenery.

Porto de Barra (Salvador), Brazil

-Rich in history. Salvador is Brazil's oldest city. With many old areas filled with historical landmarks, such as colonial forts, old theaters, and many world-renowned museums.

-Very clean, nature-like areas. The people of Salvador love their ravishing nature with sparkling clean waters.

    - Always something interesting going on at the Porto de Barra, whether it be a beach-based sports game (Football, tennis, volleyball, or fisherman yelling wildly at their potential catch, there's always something to see.

-Wonderful view. You can always see an amazing sunset, with Porto de Barra being one of the very few beaches in Salvador facing west.

These are the most lovely places I've been able to find. Here are a few more if you're really interested in seeing all things South America.
